1PointFive is excited about its partnership with stakeholders across our areas of operation and anticipates providing local job opportunities, community investment, and training programs to support the project. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to hearing more from you. We strive to seek input and collaborate and always seek more ways to contribute to the community.

GOOD NEIGHBOR COMMITMENT

We are dedicated to benefitting local communities and advancing innovative solutions to global environmental challenges. Part of that commitment includes the support provided by our Stakeholder Relations team. We will act as a resource to you now and throughout the project's life.

PROJECT UPDATES

On October 2nd, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting an Informational Workshop. This meeting is open to the public and will provide general information on Class VI wells, the Class VI permitting process, and the proposed Class VI permits on Long-Term Underground Storage of Carbon Dioxide.  The meeting will be held, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST at the MCM Eleganté Hotel, 5200 East University Boulevard, Odessa, Texas 79762. For more information on the meeting or how to participate in the public comment period, please reach out to a member of our Stakeholder Relations team or use the link below.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

We seek to strengthen economies where we operate through our local hiring, investments in our operations and infrastructure, and contributions to non-profit organizations that help communities to develop and thrive. That means taking time to listen to local leaders and neighbors, understand the regions where we operate, and engage in partnerships that address community needs and create economic opportunity and inclusive social development.

ā€‹

By investing our time and resources in programs and initiatives that support the areas surrounding our operations where our employees live and work, we seek to advance our relationships with neighboring communities and promote mutually beneficial outcomes.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

During construction, we estimate that thousands of people will be hired for various aspects of the build. The construction and operation of a DAC facility require a wide range of skill sets. During operations, we anticipate that hundreds of permanent jobs could be created.
