Our first Direct Air Capture (DAC) facility is currently under construction in Ector County, TX. Once complete, this facility is expected to be the largest Direct Air Capture facility in the world. It is designed to capture 500,000 tonnes of COā per year when fully operational and is expected to begin commercial operations in mid-2025.

WHAT IS DIRECT AIR CAPTURE?
DAC is the process of removing COā directly from the atmosphere. 1PointFive uses Carbon Engineering’s technology to pull COā out of the air. The captured COā then goes through a series of processes for purification and compression before being injected deep underground.
STORING COā WITH GEOLOGIC SEQUESTRATION
1PointFive plans to store COā thousands of feet underground in geologic formations through geologic sequestration. This proven method of COā storage has been used for decades.
